BIOGRAPHY

Janice Breeden is a contemporary artist formally trained in techniques of painting and drawing. She was born in Illinois and currently resides in Orange, Virginia with her family. She teaches art at Louisa County High School and is curator of exhibitions at the University of Virginia Hospital’s Cancer Center.
Janice received a BA in Studio Art with distinction from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia and has studied with Joan Snyder of Brooklyn, New York, and Melissa Miller of Austin, Texas. She received the Ulysses Desportes Award for Outstanding Art Achievement and has exhibited her artwork internationally and throughout the United States. Her art can be found in various private and public collections including the University of Virginia Hospital, Mary Baldwin College, and Virginia Commonwealth University.
